Andy Mangels is the USA Today best-selling author and co-author of over twenty fiction and nonfiction books — including Star Trek, Roswell, Iron Man, X-Files and Star Wars tomes — and recently wrote the highly-anticipated Wonder Woman '77 Meets The Bionic Woman mini-series for Dynamite Entertainment and DC Comics. Over the last twenty-five years, Andy's comic-book work has been seen from DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Dark Horse, Wildstorm, Image, Innovation, WaRP Graphics, Topps, MVCreations, Arcana, and others. He is the past award-winning comic book anthology editor of Gay Comics. As a pop culture historian, he has also contributed to international magazines and newspapers, and has scripted, directed, and produced over forty DVD documentaries and Special Features for DDV projects. In 2012, he was awarded the prestigious Inkpot Award for Achievement in the Comic Arts at Comic-Con International. He has written hundreds of articles for entertainment and lifestyle magazines and newspapers in the United States, England, and Italy, including a regular column for TwoMorrows' new RetroFan magazine. As an actor and singer, he has appeared in stage productions in Oregon, and had roles in films and television series such as Grimm, Leverage and The Librarians. He regularly performs with the singing group Broadway Bears, and as a pastor, has officiated 20 geek-themed weddings!
