MAIN PANEL ROOM POLICY

Rose City Comic Con strives to create an inclusive and friendly environment for all of its attendees. We are happy to provide a variety of services to help you enjoy your experience!

MAIN STAGE PANEL ROOM (Panel Room 1)

  • A block of seats reserved for fans with Fast Passes will be located near the front of the stage. All those seated in this area must have a Fast Pass. Children 10 and under are allowed in this area, 2 children per Adult with Fast Pass.
  • Blocks of seats reserved for fans with accessibility bracelets will be located throughout the main stage panel room. You and your companion MUST wear your accessibility bracelets to sit in these seats.
  • New for 2019 – Our main stage is cleared in between events, and you must leave the room in between events – even if you wish to attend the next event session.
  • Before the first panel of the day and after each panel session, the main stage seating will be cleared between. Three separate lines will be formed outside:
    • (1) Fast Pass
    • (2) Premium Pass holders and fans with accessibility bracelets (including their companion)
    • (3) General attendees, panelists, exhibitors, and artists
  • The lines will move inside in this same order – with fans holding Fast Passes seated first, followed by Premium and ADA, and then all others.
  • Panels will have a minimum of 20 minutes buffer time built in between sessions to allow for queuing and breaks.
  • Accessibility seats are, as are all seats, limited in number and an accessibility bracelet does not guarantee admission into any main stage sessions.

Questions?

If you have questions or need clarification, please send an email to: info@rosecitycomiccon.com.

    • Based on feedback from previous years, we heard loud and clear that some of our badge holders felt like this (would or will) ensure fairness for everyone who wants to have a seat in a particular session.
    • With the limited space outside of the main panel room, the security team and the Oregon Convention Center has strongly recommended that we institute line control. This is so we can ensure order is maintained within the space and that we don’t run into any capacity or access issues.
    • Additionally, we need to be able to provide tech checks for some of our panelists immediately prior to their sessions. They don’t want to spoil any surprises so they would like to have 5 minutes or so without anyone in the room.

Between each session we’ve built 20 minutes or more to allow for exiting and reentry.

    • Yes, due to the need for periodic tech checks, all parties must exit and re-enter.
    • You and a companion will line up with the premium pass holders and enter with them.
    • You will still need to exit and line up after each panel session. The main stage seating will be cleared between each session and three separate lines will be formed outside:
      • (1) Fast Pass
      • (2) Premium Pass holders and fans with accessibility bracelets (including their companion)
      • (3) General attendees, panelists, exhibitors, and artists
    • You will be directed by crew to the correct location.
      • Fast Pass and Premium/ADA will be directed to lines in the Portland Ballroom Lobby area.
      • All others will be directed to lineup in the room directly next to the Portland Ballroom on the east side of the building.

No, due to tighter security all items must leave the room with you or may be confiscated.

Only Fast Pass holders (and up to 2 children per Fast Pass adult) may queue and enter in the first group. Seats for Fast Pass badge holders are reserved and held in the front of the room.

While we don’t think this will be an issue, there are some sessions that we believe will fill to capacity. To ensure anyone in line has a fair opportunity to attend any session they desire, we cannot allow for seats to be held. Please be sure that your entire party is in line with you before you enter the room.

We recommend that you allow 10~15 minutes before the session is due to start to allow for queuing and entry. We will begin loading the room about 10 minutes before the session is due to begin.
