RIBBON RALLY

Let’s decorate our badges in the second-annual RCCC Ribbon Rally!

Ribbon Rally invites all attendees to get in on the fun! Show off your fandom, meet with fellow fans, and make new friends as you trade, exchange, and build a trail of ribbons on your badge. Join us at a RIBBON RALLY MEETUP at the REMIX STAGE during one of these times:

  • FRIDAY, Sept 11th: TBA PM
  • SATURDAY, Sept 12th: TBA PM
  • SUNDAY, Sept 13th: TBA PM

FAQ & RULES

It’s a small, foil-print ribbon piece with a sticky adhesive strip along the top, to make it easy to add to your badge.

Not at all! It’s a fun activity, but not a requirement.

Most of the ribbons you see around the event are both created and paid for by your fellow attendees. Some fans will be giving them out freely, and some fans will be looking to make a trade! If you’d like a ribbon from RCCC, be sure to stop by the Remix Stage.

Join us at our official meetup each day at the Remix Stage, where you can trade, giveaway, and collect ribbons! Or just chat with folks throughout the weekend. I’m sure you’ll meet more than a few awesome attendees willing to share!

We’d love it if you did!

You’re welcome to research printers on your own, but if you’re not sure where to start, here’s some options for you to look into:

  • PC/Nametag
  • Name Badge Productions
  • MARCO Promos

Ribbons come in many, many different designs. You can have character outlines/silhouettes, include quotes, or even just some imagery that only your fandom would recognize. It’s entirely up to you! (And whatever the printer allows.) *Please note that ribbon content needs to adhere to RCCC’s policies.*

RCCC badges are approximately 3×5 inches wide, so folks typically order 3 or 4-inch ribbons, with varying heights. Your image size should be at a 34:9 aspect ratio, and in PDF file format. You can use as much of the space as you like, but please remember that ribbons will be printed as submitted. Be sure you like your text, size, photo quality, etc!

RIBBON RALLY ETIQUETTE

  • There is no charging money for ribbons unless you are an vendor at your table in Artist Alley. We suggest trades, fun challenges, silly dances, or trivia questions instead!
  • Please be kind, patient, and polite when asking about ribbons. Whether you’re collecting or passing them out, we want to make sure everyone feels included and has fun!
  • Don’t forget, some folks might say “No.” If someone is running out of ribbons, only doing trades, or only handing out ribbons to specific fandoms/cosplayers, you may get a “no” when you ask for a ribbon. Whatever the reason, please accept that politely. Let’s respect all fans and move forward with the rest of your day!
  • As a reminder, Ribbon Rally is all for the FUN! There is no competition or prizing. Let’s all have a great time!
