Rose City Comic Con is Portland’s premier pop culture event. It is produced locally with a focus on creating a fun and friendly event for everyone!

While our primary focus is that of comics, comic creators, and the creative process, Rose City Comic Con also provides its attendees with access to gaming, sci-fi, cosplay, anime, fantasy, and everything in between. Our goal is to provide you with a rewarding, fun, and family-friendly event experience.

Rose City Comic Con is produced by LeftField Media, a boutique event company made up of passionate fans and experienced convention organizers.

Rose City Comic Con takes place at the Oregon Convention Center (777 NE Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd Portland, OR 97232),  which is located in downtown Portland, Oregon.

If you are driving to Rose City Comic Con, you will find ample street and bus parking in the surrounding area. In addition, the Oregon Convention Center provides on-site parking in its clean and secure parking garage. Onsite parking information can be found here.

Yes, there is. We have put in place a bag check to ensure no weapons are brought into the convention center.

Yes. In keeping with our family-friendly atmosphere, and for health and safety reasons, RCCC enforces a dress code. Proper attire must be worn at all times, including shirts and appropriate footwear. Clothing with rude, vulgar, or offensive language or graphics is not permitted at any time. Admission to RCCC may be denied if clothing is deemed by RCCC management to be inappropriate.

Absolutely! Rose City Comic Con encourages costumes and cosplay. Please make sure, though, your costume follows our costume and cosplay policy. Attendees who do not follow to these guidelines may be required to modify their costumes, refused entry, or asked to leave.

Technically, no. Outside food and drink it not permitted inside the Oregon Convention Center. But if you need to keep some snacks on your for medical reasons, that’s okay.

Photography is allowed, but not in high traffic areas. This includes near doors, escalators, and in busy hallways. Please move to a designated photography area to take photos. Inappropriate photography will be subject to our harassment policy. Please read our photography policy for complete details.

If you pre-purchase merchandise items you will be able to pick up your items on site at the Official Rose City Comic Con Merch Booth by showing your GrowTix purchase confirmation. This may be printed or on your smartphone, whatever is easier for you!

Pets are not permitted at Rose City Comic Con, with the exception of guide, signal, or service animals (as defined by state and local laws).

Yes and no. As with any event with a large attendance, you may have to wait in line at times. Rest assured we are always working to keep those lines moving quickly and efficiently as possible, especially with social distancing concerns. To be sure you don’t miss anything, we are opening the doors to the convention center two hours before the event starts.

Only simulated or costume weapons are allowed at the Rose City Comic Con as part of your costume. Please refer to our weapons policy for further guidelines. No real swords, bats, shields, or heavy staffs are allow.

No, we tried this model at Rose City Comic Con 2019 and found that the majority of our fans did not prefer it, so we’re back to basics! However, to ensure our cosplay contestants can do the rehearsal and tech check before the big show, we will be clearing after the last panel before the Cosplay Competition.

We’re always looking for new, interesting, and fun programming! Fill out an application when they are available!

Yes! Whether you want to be part of Artist Alley or sell from your retail shop, we’d love to have you on the show floor. More information can be found here.

Badge FAQ’s

All attendees 3 years and up need a ticket to enter Rose City Comic Con. If your little one is 2 or under, we welcome them for free! We recommend all children under 18 attend with an adult, and all children under 11 must have an adult with them while attending Rose City Comic Con.

You can buy badges online here or you can buy badges at these participating retailers in the Portland, OR area. If you buy your badges online, you will simply need to present your QR code at Registration in Pre-Function Lobby A to retrieve your physical badge. 

Badges purchased prior to July 31 with the shipping option selected will be mailed. BADGES WILL NOT BE MAILED IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOUR ORDER. Any and all badges purchased after July 31 will not be shipped and must be picked up at the show from Registration.

We encourage everyone to purchase in advance to minimize long lines and large crowds!

Yes! All active military, reservists, and guard personnel can receive a $5 discount on badges with proof of active military ID on site at Registration.

Badges are 100% transferable. All you need to do is pass the physical badge or badge confirmation on to the new party. To update the name and email assigned to the badge, follow the steps below:

  2. Click SIGN IN
  3. Click MY TICKETS
  5. Create an account using the same email address you used to purchase your badges
  6. Verify your email address and sign in to your account
  7. Click on your name located at the top right
  8. Click MY ORDERS
  9. Click on the order you want to update

Rose City Comic Con badges are non-refundable.

You can swap or upgrade your badge yourself! Here’s how:

Badges that are lost, stolen or damaged cannot be replaced. Please take care of your badgeit is your only valid entry into the event.

Celebrities, Photo Ops, and Autographs

Celebrity and creator guests are announced regularly! For more info, check out the guest page.

Most guests appear for all three days, but we also list the specific days they will be attending on our guest page. Please note, guest schedules are subject to change without notice.

Once they go on sale, you can view autograph and photo ops pricing and pre-purchase via the Epic Photo Ops website – go here for more info. If you have an issue with your purchase, please contact Epic Photo Ops directly for assistance.

If the celebrity autograph or photo op you’re looking for is not listed for pre-purchase, they may have requested to sell onsite only.

Typically, yes, our guests will have headshots, included in the cost of the autograph, to be signed at their table.

You will bring the QR code you received when you made your purchase. This would have been emailed to the email address you used at the time of purchase. You can bring this QR code/Barcode with you to be scanned at the time of redemption at the guests location.

Typically, yes, but not always. The signing of personal items is done at the guests’ discretion and may require an additional charge at their booth.

No worries therethey love meeting their fans! If you just want to meet your favorite special guest or celebrity, give them a high-five, or just say a quick hello, jump in line and check that off your bucket list!

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It is up to each guest. Sometimes we will know in advance , but your best bet is to ask at their table.
