Come one, come all, for a very weird day, curated specifically for all weird and weird curious Rose City Comic Con fans! Did you know the Mayor officially crowned September 7 as “Keep Portland Weird Day?” It’s true! That’s right—Portland has a whole dang holiday for being delightfully unhinged. In honor of this momentous occasion, Portland Weird Fest takes over the Weird Stage for the entire day on September 7 in the Oregon Ballroom. Join us for a Variety Show like no other and celebrate what makes Portland so unique. Get Weird, Y’all!

What can you expect?
At the Weird Stage on Sunday, you’ll be enamored in a day long celebration of Portland local celebrities! Each performer will take the stage to do something spectacular! Something daring! And something weird! And once they’re done, we’d invite you to join them at the photo op area we have set up in the space to say hi and grab a photo. Expect oddities, eccentricities, variety acts, and things we legally can’t describe. Dress strange, bring your cryptid cousin, and let your freak flag fly – while you ride a unicycle! (Okay, maybe we’ll leave THAT part to the Unipiper…)
The Weird Stage is home to the VooDoo Ranger Beer Garden, and while the area is not 21+, ID is required to be served alcohol. And hey, please drink responsibly!

Get Ready, Portland—The Weird Is Just Beginning!

What you’re witnessing on the Weird Stage at Rose City Comic Con is just a taste of the glorious madness to come! Consider this your teaser trailer for the 2nd Annual Portland Weird Fest, happening September 27th at Oaks Park from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM. After the weirdly wonderful success of our inaugural event, we’re cranking up the quirk to eleven! This all-ages extravaganza is the only festival devoted entirely to Portland’s eccentric spirit—a celebration of the strange, the spectacular, and the beautifully bizarre.
Expect over 60 offbeat vendors, dozens of wild performers and characters, and absurdly entertaining games. New for this year:
-A Chicken Beauty Contest
-A glow-tastic Kids Rave
…and a whole lot more weirdness we can’t wait to share.
So mark your calendars, shine your disco saddles, and start prepping your finest feathers. Portland Weird Fest is coming—and it’s going to be wonderfully, unapologetically WEIRD.
Weird Portland United is the only 501(c)(3) dedicated to Keeping Portland Weird! Founded by Brian Kidd, also known as the Unipiper, in 2018, the nonprofit aims to Keep Portland Weird.
