Hello there! Welcome to the Rose City Comic Con programming line-up! We’re thrilled that you will be helping to make Rose City Comic Con the incredible show that it is, year after year. RCCC highlights what makes Portland both wonderful and weird – from comics to cosplay, gaming to anime, we know your program is going to be a huge hit and we’re here to help you in any way we can as you take the stage this September.

We’re committed to ensuring our panelists have a great experience at Rose City Comic Con, so consider this your essential how-to guide for all of the important details you will need to know about being a Pro at Rose City Comic Con Con. Please review this page regularly in the weeks coming up to the show for changes!

We want to take this time to remind everyone that Rose City Comic Con is a safe space for all fans of varying backgrounds, identities, and view points. ROOM CAPACITIES AND SET UP

Please find your assigned panel room or stage in the list below below to see what the room capacity and set up for your room will be. If you have questions about this arrangement do not hesitate to contact us.

  • Room D135-136 – Capacity 364, normal panel room setup, stage/riser 8×24 with 1 set of stairs, theatre seating, all General Programming
  • Room D137-140 Capacity 416, normal panel room setup, stage/riser8x24 with 1 set of stairs theatre seating, all Cosplay Programming and General Programming
  • Room E141-144 Capacity 461, normal panel room setup, stage/riser 8×18, theatre seating, all Comics Programming
  • Room E145-146 – Capacity 364, normal panel room setup, stage/riser 8×24 with 1 set of stairs, theatre seating, all Book Fair and Creator Pro programming
  • Room F150-152 – Capacity 200, Please note if your panel is on Friday this room will have round tables and chairs. If your panel is on Saturday or Sunday the room will be converted to just be standing room for movement based activities – classroom style with head table and adjacent podium, no stage/riser
  • Weird Stage – Oregon Ballroom  – Capacity 500, normal panel room setup, stage/riser 18×24, theatre seating. We recommend you arrive at LEAST 15 minutes early for your Weird Stage program to ensure the stage is set to your preferred setup, including table on or off the stage, chair arrangement, etc.
  • Rose City Jr. Movement Zone – Hall E – Capacity ~50, no seating, open space for standing and movement, stage/riser 12×24, 2 sets of stairs on either side of stage
  • Rose City Jr. Workshops – Hall E – Capacity ~40, banquet round seating, no stage/riser
  • Main Stage – Main Stage panel room setup, stage/riser 24×32, theatre seating. We recommend you arrive at LEAST 15 minutes early for your Main Stage program to ensure the stage is set to your preferred setup, including table on or off the stage, chair arrangement, etc.

PRO BADGES

Your approved Rose City Comic Con panel comes with up to 6 Pro badges for you and your panelists. These badges are only for those people actually participating in the program. If you need more than 6 badges, Additional Pro badges can be purchased for $30 each. Pro Badges will grant you access to Rose City Comic Con for all 3 days of the show.

At least 1 week prior to the show, we will send an email to the email address we have on file for you as your main point of contact. It will come from a Leap email address and it will contain contain a QR code which will be valid for the # of Pro badges you had marked on your application or in email conversations corresponding to the number of panelists participating your program. You will take this QR code to Registration in Ballroom 203 during Will Call hours.

  • Friday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Should you need badges emailed to your panelists individually, please reach out to to Leslie by August 27, 2024 to make accommodations.

Additional Pro badges can be purchased for $30 each. These Pro badges are meant for people who will be assisting with the panel itself, not for friends or family members. You must notify Leslie by August 27, 2025 if you wish to purchase additional Pro badges at $30 each.

GENERAL INFO

Show details

Rose City Comic Con is September 05-07, 2025. Rose City Comic Con takes place at the Oregon Convention Center at 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Portland, OR 97232.

Arrival and setup

Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your panel. If you are on the Weird Stage, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your panel to ensure the stage is set to your liking. Rose City Comic Con allots at least 15 minutes in between each panel for teardown of the previous panel and setup of the next panel. As soon as the panel before yours has ended, you are welcome to begin setting up your laptop, etc. If you need AV assistance, please ask a nearby Staff or Crew member for help as far out from the start of your panel as possible. The AV team need 5-10 minutes to get to you. New AV requests will not be able to be accommodated.

The AV team may or not may not be in  your room when you are getting setup directly before your panel. If you are concerned about getting set up for your performance, schedule a tech check ahead of time by emailing Leslie. This is the best way to ensure your PowerPoint or audio works. Asking for the AV team to be there at a specific time helps us to plan to ensure you get set up on time in case you might run into issues.

Special Needs

If you or any of your panelists have any special needs, such as ADA requests, please let Leslie know by emailing here as soon as possible. We want to make sure your experience is as seamless and enjoyable as possible

Tech checks

You can use the 15 minutes before your panel for your tech check. The AV team may or may not be present during this time. If you need more time, please email Leslie, as early as possible to schedule a longer tech check or rehearsal. We will do our best to accommodate.
