Portfolio Reviews

Attention all aspiring comic creators! Don’t miss your chance to get a portfolio review from renowned comic publishers. This is a golden opportunity to receive professional feedback, gain exposure, and potentially kickstart your career in the world of comics.

Applications will close August 5th with responses going out by August 26th.

The rules:

  • You must drop off your portfolio by 4:00 PM 1 full day before your review in the designated box. The location of said box will be shared with applicants once approved for a review. For example, if your review is scheduled for Saturday you must drop off your portfolio by 4:00 PM on Friday. Your portfolio should carry copies, not originals, to protect your work.
  • Please include a resume or your full name and email address somewhere on your portfolio so we know whose portfolio it is.
  • You will receive a time slot which will be 20 minutes long.
  • A valid RCCC badge is required for consideration and to be able to attend your review
  • Once your review time slot has been given, the time is unable to be changed.
  • Please complete the form in its entirety and understand that simply submitting this form does not guarantee you a Portfolio Review
Portfolio recommendations:
  • Storytelling samples, interior page samples, and pages with panels highly recommended.
  • It is encouraged to include sequential samples for different kinds of scenes—dynamic action AND quieter moments that focus on acting subtleties
  • Some pin-ups and figure work is acceptable, and cover art is also acceptable, but this should not be the entirety of your portfolio.
  • Your most current work is preferred.

    Participant Responsibilities(Required)
    I agree to submit the requested portfolio review materials one (1) full day in advance by 4:00 PM in the designated box.

    I agree to purchase an Rose City Comic Con badge that aligns with the day of my Portfolio Review as well as the day before my review, in order to drop off requested materials within the dictated time frame.

    I agree to be considerate of the reviewer's and other participants time and will show up promptly for my review and end on time accordingly

    I understand that, if accepted, Rose City Comic Con reserves the right to adjust the time and/or location of my programming at any time. I understand that Rose City Comic Con has a strict no refund policy and previously purchased fan badges will not be refunded regardless of acceptance status
